Ukraine (Ukrainian: Україна; Ruthenian: Ukraina; Azovian: Україне; Russian: Украи́на; Crimean Tatar: Ukraina; Crimean Gothic: Ukraiyinen) is a country in Eastern Europe. It is also the second-largest contiguous country in the European continent, after Russia. Ukraine borders the Russian Federation to the east and northeast, Belarus to the northwest, Veneda and Slevania to the west, Romania to the southwest, and the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to the south and southeast, respectively.
